Broker's Comments
This is a marvellous example of the Anderson 26 lifting keel. These boats are known for being highly adaptable and easy to sail, They also have a reputation for being sea-kindly and surprisingly fast! This specific boat is very well equipped and ready to go.
The design of the Anderson 26 incorporates some unique and progressive features. The electric/manual lifting keel allows a variable of between 6ft, for open water sailing and 2ft 3 inches for inland, costal, or tributary exploration. The boat has built in stabilizer legs which retract in to the hull, ideal for coastal harbour stops, plus a lifting rudder which allows steerage to a depth of 2ft 3 inches. The boat is set up for single handed sailing with all lines leading back to the cockpit. Engine wise the boat is driven by a Beta Marine BZ482 13.5hp, considered reliable and economical motors.
The sail inventory is good with fully battened 3x reef point main sail. There is a Kemp mainsail stacking system with lazy Jacks, roller furling genoa, storm Jib, cruising chute and spinnaker set up. All sails are in good working condition.
Tech/ navigation equipment is modern and extensive and includes- Solara 40w solar panel with regulator wind generator, Standard Horizon 300 GPS colour plotter, digital yacht AIS, ICS Navtex ICOM 601 DSC plus commander extension into cockpit. NASA depth with cockpit extension, NASA GPS repeater in cockpit TACK TICK wireless wind speed and direction, depth, speed, water temp and battery condition. Plastimo bulkhead compass and Raymarine ST 1000 autohelm. Note, all units can be moved into the cockpit.
This is a great, desirable compact cruiser with plenty of diversity. Perfect for inland waterway exploration, harbour hopping, coastal sailing or longer passage making. The boat is afloat and viewing is highly recommended.
