Broker's Comments
The Barbary Class Ketch are well respected and proven cruising boats. Traditional in design and built strongly, owners describe a boat capable of impressive sailing performance and guaranteed seakeeping abilities.
This boat is a good example of the range, having been consistently and carefully maintained, inside and out. During my visit, I was impressed by the boat's character, space and comfort. The owner's private, twin, aft cabin, sits behind the mizzen mast, which provides a more manageable rig for a boat of this size. The interior and exterior are presented well. The swept side-decks provide ease moving forward and there is excellent access to the engine, through the covered cockpit. The forward cabin provides further opportunity for privacy and guest accommodation and the galley and saloon have a good volume of space for ease of movement and headroom.
This boat is in commission and represents excellent potential for coastal hopping, offshore cruising and even as a small liveaboard.
