Broker's Comments
What an interesting opportunity this is.
She was commissioned as a new build in 1996, to a De Spoot design specified by the owner.
Unfortunately, the boat builder went out of business; however the owner retained title as he paid for all the work done on an ongoing basis and was able to move the boat to Scotland, where he set about completing the build. The hull and superstructure were complete at this point.
There was damage to her during transit, and this was repaired.
This design was chosen for the quality of build and in particular the Corten Steel, the boat being fully insulated.
The build slowed considerably once the boat was moved to Scotland, the owner taking charge in his retirement, and now time has come to hand the project over.
She is now undergoing the internal fit out, with all the required hardwood on board, but not the. Soft furnishing.
Should a prospective buyer wish to move her for the final fit out by sea ,the owner believes that this would be possible after , charging batteries , de winterising engines , fitting bowthruster prop (which is onboard) , fitting steering wheel , testing hydraulic system , normal launching safety checks and testing mechanical systems.
Coming towards the completion of her build, there is an opportunity for someone to finish the project and decide on the internal fittings and soft furnishing.
These boat details are subject to contract.
