Broker's Comments

A lovely opportunity to purchase a Dutch sailing barge originally built in 1979. She spent 14 years over in Holland and was finally brought over to Essex during September 1993.

From July 2010 her second English owner installed a new engine, diesel tanks, water tanks, hydraulic steering and GPS.

The current owner (the third owner) installed new heads, reflex stove, VHF, navigation lights and solar panel.

All the main running rigging was replaced during 2022 and 2023.

The last insurance survey on the slipway was carried out on the 9th June 2020 and so a copy is available if you would like to see this. All proposed recommendations were completed.

The vessel has been professionally maintained and the top sides above the waterline were painted during June/July 2023.

Also during July 2023 the vessel was lifted on to the slipway, pressure washed (no bare steel was revealed) and was treated to 2 coats of epoxy paint below the water line and 2 coats of antifouling. At the same time the propeller, shaft and anodes were inspected and confirmed to be in good order.
