The optional leather covered folding wheel allows easy access to the walk-through transom when departing or returning via a dinghy or swimming.
The propane locker and cockpit locker are located port.
The traveler for the main is mounted on the arch, the winches are located aft and all sheets are fed aft for ease of sailing while at the wheel.
Entering the main cabin, the L-shaped galley is starboard. Storage compartments are outboard, corian counter tops, double stainless sink, a 3-burner propane Force 10 stove and oven, a Nova Kool refrigerator and a separate freezer completes this well thought out galley.
Aft is the owners cabin with an athwartship queen berth, two small settees, hanging lockers and private access to the head compartment.

Broker's Comments
In 2004 Hunter launched the Hunter 38, designed by Glenn Henderson and team. This 2005 model comes with the Mariner package which includes many options and upgrades:
Yanmar 40hp diesel engine with folding prop
Folding wheel
Bose entertainment package with DVD and Subwoofer
Corian counter tops
Nova Kool Refrigerator (replaced in 2023)
A separate freezer
Separate shower
And a dedicated navigation station – to name a few of its amenities.
The Hunter 38 Mariner is lauded for its ease of maneuvering in close quarters and light winds, as well as being very responsive for novices or single-handling. The interior is well appointed with matte teak veneers, Everwear soles (which are very durable), a large airy salon for a boat of its size, and a two-stateroom layout; well suited for cruising couples or small families.
Another advantage is her current moorage may transfer to the new owners; important for those without moorage already secured!
