Broker's Comments
Beneath the grime lies a little gem! The Dufour 1800 is a fast small cruiser, with a full-bodied hull. It has four berths, including a separate fore cabin ahead of a midships heads compartment. The fractional rig gives easy handling with good performance. Both inboard engined and outboard versions were built, the outboard version using a well in the back of the cockpit for the engine. This version could be easily converted to take an outboard.
This boat has been used primarily for training young sailors, hence her stripped down appearance below. It's fair to say that she's in a bit of a state at present, and this is reflected in the price. However, she has the potential to make a comfortable cruising yacht.
