This Catalina 400 is a stunning example of the very capable brand.
She has only had 2 owners from new and in 2015 benefited from a fully comprehensive refit which included replacing all the wiring and flooring at a cost of over £20000. All bills relating to this are available to see.
The accommodation feels not only solid but also very spacious and well laid out, not only for short stays but also much longer trips and even for comfortable living aboard.
The aft master suite is extremely large and comfortable boasting a Queen size bed, lots of storage and access to the larger of the 2 heads with large shower.
The saloon provides plenty of seating for guests, with the large table dropping down into the ‘U’ shaped sofa turning it into a good size double berth. The long, comfortable, bench seat on the port side can be used as an additional single berth.
The galley is spacious and very well equipped with a unique fridge and freezer arrangement, good sized cooker and double sink. The design also allows good social interaction between the chef and guests.
The forward ‘V’ berth is a good size, comfortable and again has access to the smaller heads and shower. Both heads have their own holding tank and macerators.
The twin helm position cockpit is huge with plenty of comfortable seating for guests. It boasts a very well-designed and made full cover and bimini for use in both hot and wet weather.
This boat has been very well looked after and comes with 2 sets of manuals as well as all receipts for work and servicing carried out on deck and in the engine bay.
Additions have always been made using quality parts and often of a higher specification than when she left the factory.
Recent works include:
Fitting of a Tides marine shaft seal and a Speedseal life impeller
Installation of a Sterling Power 1600w inverter. Vetus 95 Bow thruster with remote control and includes separate charger and gel battery
Raymarine 160 wind display
Seasmart Marine toilet sanitiser in the aft heads
Full cockpit enclosure and Bimini, both designed to be erected and dismantled very quickly and using minimal amount of metal work
Very recently, (April 2021), Kiwi-Grip was applied to the complete deck area which comes with a 7-year guarantee
