Broker's Comments
The Contessa 28 is a popular, mid size club racer/cruiser. These boats, although of an older style, still generate a popular following.
The boat needs a little cosmetic attention, for example the deck paint is flaking, although the rig, sails, engine and interior all appear in good condition. The boat is in commission and actively used.
The interior comprises forepeak berth, sea toilet to starboard, opposite a large hanging locker. There is a sensible sized saloon with large fold down table. The starboard seating converts to form a generous double with aft quarter berth behind. There is a functional galley to port with three burner oven/cooker unit and cool box.
The boat has benefited from lots of upgrades over the years, including engine replacement in 2003, rig and sail replacement in 2002/2003. With plenty of space, stability and performance, this is a great option for cruising or club racing alike.
