Broker's Comments
Successor to the 27 in 1978, this was the second most popular Dufour of all time with 1300 built over a six year period.
She is a spacious family cruising yacht with high freeboard, offering very good accommodation for her size. The design is typical of French yachts of the period, with quite a high-volume hull and a smart interior finish. In their day these yachts were well ahead of comparable British products in design, space, and perhaps even performance terms.
This boat has benefited from quite an extensive upgrade package over recent years which include a new Selden mast, boom and standing rigging which was all renewed in 2012. The reefing was adapted at that time to in mast main reefing. All the windows were also, and one of the hatches was also recently renewed and they look great!
What lets this boats appearance down is the cork decking which has been attacked over the years by UV damage from the sun. By replacing this or removing this treading would, in my opinion, transform the whole overall appearance of the boat. Also, as I mention in my video, the hull has a lovely sheen to it and I believe that with a polish, she will buff up very well.
