Broker's Comments
'Well balanced, quick and easily handled' was the Yachting Monthly verdict when they trialled the Arpege in April 2005. 'A modern classic' was Tom Cunliffe's opinion of the marque.
An innovative fast cruiser racer, in her day the French led the field in producing modern, fast and seaworthy yachts. It took at least ten years for British builders to catch up and in the meantime many went out of business. She is a design that should appeal to anyone looking for a fast cruiser with well thought out sea going accommodation. The present owner has carried out extensive (and expensive) upgrades to this yacht since his purchase at the end of 2009. Hull and deck repairs, complete re-rigging and rewiring, engine overhaul, galley and safety equipment - the list is not far off endless!
We have three thick files of bills and receipts for work carried out by our local riggers, boat yards and engineers; and signed off by a well respected local surveyor. Well worth a look.
