Broker's Comments
This 1980 Gibsea has undergone extensive refurbishment by her current owner who, regrettably due to ill health, has been forced to put his pride and joy up for sale.
This Gibsea has been sailed to Barbados, Gilbraltar and the Channel Islands proving her as a capable long distance cruiser.
Having benefited from the hull being epoxyed be her previous owner, who brought her from new the current owner, who is a built builder by trade, has over the last 2 years spent many hours and a considerable amount of money bringing her back to her best.
The refit is truly extensive and includes but is not limited to:
Interior - all Head and wall linings stripped and replaced and all varnish stripped and re-coated,
Forward Cabin - new battery box constructed for new battery for windlass, all lockers have been painted inside including the bilge.
Shower - refitted with new tiles, taps and shower fitments.
Forward Heads - Re configured including new WC, plumbing and Sola vent fitted.
Salon - stripped and replaced with new windows and port holes, new stainless steel trim, all upholstery and foam replaced, new TV and video player, all lights fitted with LED bulbs.
Galley - new cooker and fridge, new hot water system, new lights and LED bulbs, new under floor waste water pump.
Aft Cabin - new toilet and plumbing, new mattress and cushions, new Waybasto Heating Unit, 3 new batteries stored under chart table, new 30amp auto charger c/w 240v consumber unit is located behind the stairs, new 2nd fridge is located under the aft bunk.
Exterior - bow roller removed and re-bedded using stainless steel bolts, manual windlass replaced with automatic, all standing rigging replaced, all running rigging/ ropes replaced, new winches, pulleys, organisers and clutches. New Mainsheet, new windscreen. Deck, coach roof, lockers, cockpit and hull have been coated using Perfection Plus Two Pot polyurethane. New Navigation Pod has been fitted c/w Raymarine plotter and auto pilot. There is also a second Lawrence plotter and depth sounder.
Engine - re-wired, new alternator, new raw water pump, diesel injectors serviced, new cutlass bearings fitted, all rudder bearing checked and serviced.
