Broker's Comments
The Hummingbird 30 was Designed by David Thomas and based on the classic Elizabethan 30 hull but with a much better accommodation layout. This example is the rare but very handy, bilge keel version.
The Elizabethan was once named as one of their “used boats of the year” by Sailing Today magazine. Part of their review said ….”has all the advantages of the Contessa…….fast, well mannered and extremely seaworthy”. It also added, ….."If you like the Elizabethan, but are concerned about interior space, you could always look for the (rare) Hummingbird 30….”
This example is currently out of the water on a working yard and has recently been cleaned up. The hull has been scrubbed, anti fouled and anodes renewed.
Down below, the headroom is good, there are berths for 6, a separate heads compartment and a forward facing Nav station. The gas boiler would need servicing / checking and there is a storage space ready for a new fridge. The linear galley is a bonus and it feels quite roomy and light.
Parked right alongside the slipway, so easily launched for the season ahead.
