Broker's Comments
Classic Laurent Giles L-Class, built in 1959. L stands for Lymington, in case you were wondering. A lovely little boat, this little lady was £1200 (about £20,000 in today's money) from the yard of WA Souter in Cowes excluding engine. Well, today for her asking price you also get a brand new Beta with only 11 hours on the clock!
Her accommodation is pretty basic, but the owner has been faithful to the era; and even the purists will admit that she still has that classic feel. I think even the Blacketts and the Walkers would feel at home aboard her!
Sadly I have managed to fall in love with her, as I do with many of the little old wooden boats it is my privilege to bring to market. Come on folks, revive the romance of sail and live the dream in this little darling!
