Broker's Comments
Originally sold as the Contessa 27, a replacement model for the Contessa 28, the moulds and design of the Contessa 27 were purchased by MG Yachts and thereafter sold as the MGC27. A fast, modern-styled small cruiser, they have an excellent reputation for sailing performance and handling. This one appears to have been well-looked after. She was re-engined in 2012, together with a new saildrive. She was re-upholstered in 2013 and looks neat and tidy below decks. She has a comprehensive sail wardrobe including a self-tacking jib, spinnaker and a 2013 cruising chute. It would seem she goes well too: 2nd in class Cowes Week 2014. Owner is keen to sell, however, as he has been distracted by a larger wooden boat that is taking up too much of his time.
