Broker's Comments
The Morcambe Bay Prawner is a shallow-draught, low-freeboard working boat with a large gaff rig that in its heyday was used to trawl for brown and pink shrimps. Its design originated in the late 1840s, when the shrimping industry was starting to take Morecambe Bay Prawner Class Notesoff at the newly established town of Fleetwood, on the south coast of Morecambe Bay.
This replica is as pretty but without the hassle of owning a wooden Yacht. She has all the same classic lines and although she is GRP, you wouldn't know it from just looking at her. Although the hull was built in 1983 she was not actually fully completed until 1995 when she was launched. She has a shallow draught so you can explore shallow waters.
She can be sailed single handled and is an easily handled and is a joy to sail.
She is absolutely stunning and I certainly fell in love with her.
