Broker's Comments
“The Najad brand stands for quality, robust design, craftmanship and comfort. The yachts are true blue water cruisers with an unprecedented attention to details, safety, and user friendliness.”
The Najad 371 is no exception and is a boat to take you anywhere you want to go and back twice and still be ready for more. The official documentation states “The Najad 371 is designed for long cruises and long periods and sea and in the harbour that’s why she has three separate cabins with space enough to move, dress and store personal effects and with doors to close when privacy is sought in the midst of company” very Swedish.
Below desk there is a huge Main cabin or Salon with full head room. To port is the large galley, two burner stove, grill and oven, double sink with pressurised hot water, fridge-freezer and plenty of storage and surface space.
Starboard is the Navigation station with classic chart-table and all the electrics you need.
Sitting behind the Nav Station is the large heads, with basin and shower. There is also a hanging locker.
Aft you find the large owners cabin, with the classic Najad double and sofa/single and plenty or storage. Forward is a good size full standing height cabin with two singles or a large double, hanging lockers.
The Main cabin is vast that will compete for comfort and space with any modern cruiser. The large table opens to comfortably accommodate all crew and more. The two settees open to give large single or cosy doubles with lea-cloths for use at sea.
The upholstery throughout is in great condition and the fitting carpets not only add to the warmth and comfort of the boat, but also protect the wooden floors beneath.
On deck she has been designed and built for long cruises and time at sea. Granny bars around the mast give safe working, all sail line run back to the large cockpit which is protected by the classic Najad windscreen and sprayhood.
The cockpit is vast and safe with plenty of room at sea and a folding table for social evenings in harbour.
The teak deck is showing signs of her age and is buckling in places but still serviceable and the asking price reflects the condition of the deck.
The current owner has cruised her along the south coast and down to Portugal for extended periods, and would think nothing of sailing her back single handed. She has been looked after with passion and comes with a set of spares a chandlery would be proud of.
There is no doubt she oozes the quality Swedish build you expect from Najad. She is a classic top end 4x4 of the sea and the question is never where do you want to go, but rather what are you waiting for?
