Broker's Comments
One of the classic long-keel cruisers, the Nicholson 32 remained in production for almost 20 years in various Marks ranging from Mk I to Mark XI. These boats are revered by many serious sailors for their seaworthiness and strength hence many have been used for long-distance cruising. She is exceptionally well suited for cruising the inspiring and picturesque waters of Scotland which she has sailed over the last ten years.
The owners wish it to be known that this boat has suffered from hull blistering. At the end of each season, if any blistering is evident, it has been carefully removed down to good fibreglass, allowed to dry out, and then repaired using the West System, a marine grade epoxy designed specifically for boat construction and repair. While a more holistic repair approach is feasible the owners have found this to be more than adequate and in-line with procedures recommended by some knowledgeable experts. With this in mind, the asking price reflects the expense of undertaking a full repair.
This example has been carefully maintained by the current owner partnership. She is a typical example of the Mark X, well fitted out for comfortable cruising for four. She has plenty of space below with an exceptional amount of storage space.
