Broker's Comments
The Nicholson 32 was one of the first production-built GRP yachts of its size. It quickly gained a reputation for being a boat that combines high build standards with go anywhere seakeeping qualities. The boat was the result of a partnership between pioneering glass fibre moulding company Halmatic and the Camper & Nicholson design office.
A heavy displacement/ high ballast ratio give a fast, yet sea-kindly hull. Due to the strong construction and excellent sailing performance, the boat has regularly been associated with record breaking feats of circumnavigation. Despite the associated fame these boats are also popular family cruisers often attracting the discerning sailor.
This boat is an early MKll model, built in 1964, interestingly she was the feature Nicholson 32 for the 1964 London boat show.
The boat is sail ready (used this season) but would benefit from a little care and attention. Internally there is some work to do to improve the headlining in places, there is also some fixture wear as one would expect. Outside the boat presents well with some wear, the woodwork looks tired but nothing some sanding and a few coats of varnish wouldn't dramatically improve.
A truly lovely looking, go anywhere yacht ready to sail away.
Please note both tender and tender engine are NOT included in the sale.
