Broker's Comments
The Sadler 29 was a bigger sister to the popular 26 with which she shares the quality of a double-skinned construction, offering quietness in a seaway and a measure of ‘unsinkability’. Like the 26, she enjoys a deserved reputation as a steadfast and reliable sea-boat. Outside she looks the part with her handsome sheer and fine bow entry. The cockpit is deep, with substantial coamings and two large lockers swallow all the usual cruising gear, and the inflatable dinghy. Down below, the design works well. The head of the quarter-berth doubles as a seat for the dedicated forward-facing chart table. There is plenty of seating around the substantial timber saloon table with plenty of stowage under the bunks and cabin sole. She is offered for sale in 'end of season condition with regard to her woodwork on deck and a spot of varnish below would transform her living quarters! Her cushions have been sensibly removed for lay-up so I cannot comment on the state of her upholstery, however, when the current monsoon passes her owner will fetch the cushions and we will re photograph her!.NB this has now been done and the upholstery is in good/fair condition for her age. Engine installation is very tidy and I wish the arrangement of companionway access to this vital unit was copied by other builders - you could not wish for better in a compact yacht. Her keel mountings internally look to be in good order too, with only minor evidence of seepage around the encapsulated bolt heads. A survey would be recommended, naturally.
