4 years ago the whole boat was taken back to bare timber and checked by the local yard/surveyor, there was no timber work required at all the boat was repainted completely then.
There was no re nailing to be done, fastenings were all good. The keelbolts have not been looked at, he says the boat takes on little water and that the keel is relatively light, but they may be worth having checked now.
The decks are GRP coated , have been there since before he took ownership 15 years ago, very strong under foot, feel like steel and I didnt notice any damage or wear.
Hydraulic transmission steering + Auto pilot
The owner is a mechanical engineer and services the engine every Spring.
2:1 reduction gearbox - Gardner mechanical he has the manuals
. There is another removable door in the galley and the floor in the wheelhouse comes up for full engine room access.
tanks are steel
The boat is slipped every year and has legs, I have seen her out of the water - very sound.

Broker's Comments
This Scottish Fifer is a multi purpose vessel which has live aboard written all over it. Maintained properly by a wooden boat enthusiast who I know personally she is dry, solid and looks pretty bullet proof .
Loads of space everywhere, especially on deck and down below, with a very generous wheelhouse too.
These Scottish boats were really over engineered to withstand the rigours of the North sea so if you are looking for an inexpensive capable boat for fishing or coastal cruising this is well worth consideration. Likewise as a liveaboard boat she has great sized accommodation and adaptable space for you to use in a variety of ways. A proper motor sailer with a strong suite of sails
