Owners Comments
For the past 18 years this Sovereign 32 has been laid up under cover in the local boat yard during which time the following work and has taken place.
Keel dropped and re-bedded with new keel bolts. New teak deck. Fitted with new four cylinder Beta Engine 37.5 bhp, shaft, bearings and propeller. (Total running time 15 hours.) Brand New Dual Fuel Tanks. Coach roof re-glassed and painted, new fore hatch, new water-tank (preformed plastic), new Jabsco toilet. New main and Mizzen masts, new stainless steel tabernacle, both masts have new fittings and rig. New furling genoa gear. The following brand new and unused sails recently collected from the sailmakers Gowens where they have been stored since manufacture. Main sail, Mizzen, furling genoa, storm jib, trysail, two part stacking type sail covers for main and mizzen.(all in white) Included with these sails are used blue sail covers in good order and used Main and Mizzen (Red) sails in good order.
She has been restored to near new condition, all planking and other wood work thoroughly checked and found in good order by qualified shipwright, all paint and varnish work inside and out re-done, all necessary repairs completed (all minor). All deck fittings refitted, new where necessary, new pushpit and pulpit in 316 stainless steel, fitted, new gas locker.
Two new batteries fitted, new wiring, new switch panels with circuit breakers. The original cushions are vinyl covered and are clean and serviceable but will at some time, require replacing. Other than that Merewif will be sold as a bare boat for the purchaser to fit out with fixtures, fittings and navigational equipment of choice at his/her expense either as a D.Y.I. project or by own contractors .
