Broker's Comments
This substantial steel yacht is a proven blue water cruiser, designed to give captain and crew a sense of security and safety in the toughest of conditions.
The boat has a large, deep and sheltered cockpit with hard top roof and fixed windshield, offering a protected helms position and seating. The canvas sides and aft section can be removed when required.
Internally, there is a large navigation station to starboard with aft quarter berth behind and well appointed galley to port. The saloon offers seating/ single berth conversion x3. There is a large heads with shower to starboard and sensible forward vee berth.
Sadly several years of inactivity has contributed to the overall deterioration of the vessel. Externally there is work to do to reverse the onset of rust and corrosion, repairs to the bow were started by the owner (now sadly deceased) but not finished, as the photos depict. The rig, including mast, twin furling systems, standing and running rigging appear serviceable.
We do not have any information in relation to the functionality of the engine, based on appearances it shows to be in reasonable condition, there is no reason to believe it will not start and run.
In summary, the boat offers huge potential in the right hands, with investment and time this could quite easily become the highly capable, comfortable and robust blue water cruiser she once was.
Please note, details and documents are limited, the previous owner is deceaced, the storage has fallen into arrears and the yard has repossessed her against those fees. The boat shall be sold with a correct legal Bill of Sale, and keys for both access and engine.
Due to the circumstances of the sale, we are unable to offer any additional information. Viewings and personal inspection of the vessel is encouraged, please feel free to contact us to book a visit.
