Broker's Comments
The Trapper 300 was designed for Trapper Yachts in 1976 by Bruce Kirby- famed for designing the Laser dinghy. Fitting then that Bruce managed to create a yacht that encompasses the same exhilarating performance synonymous with the Laser.
Powerful to windward, no slouch downwind and light on the helm- the performance is second to none, as many a club racer will acknowledge.
Through the end of 2021/beginning of 2022 the boat has received plenty of attention/upgrades that include- full engine overhaul and service. Removal, full strip down, clean, repaint and refit of fuel tank, in-mast and internal rewiring, new mast mounted wind speed gauge, new VHF antenna, new mast mounted deck light and new through deck fittings.
All wooden trim inside and out has been removed, sanded varnished and refitted. the curtains are new, some cushioning is new. There is also a full set of brand new cockpit cushions.
If the prospect of owning a cruiser/racer with top pedigree, capable in equal measures of both taking the club silver and providing a comfortable space for cruising appeals this well presented boat may be the perfect option.
