Broker's Comments
The UFO 34 has an impressive history of all weather offshore cruising & racing. These sturdy, stiff & seaworthy yachts have proved themselves again and again (check out Wikipedia for their performance in the extreme conditions of both the 1979 Fastnet and the 1998 Sydney to Hobart races). They not only behave well, they look good too with sleek and elegant lines.
Under the same ownership for the last 12 years, this example has been much improved during this time and is still sailed regularly. Maintenance has also been a top priority as she is taken out of the water annually for the winter months and treated to hull scrub, anti foul and engine service.
This example is also well equipped. There is a good Nav fit on the binnacle including a chart plotter, auto pilot and a VHF DSC handset/controller. The lines lead aft to a spacious cockpit with companionway cover and, when you need to go on deck, the non slip Deckmaster covering, backed up by jackstays, will help keep you safe. A strong Lewmar electrical windlass is also included to make weighing anchor less of a task.
Down below is comfortable & well laid out. She is clean, tidy and shipshape with a homely & practical feel. The cabin heating, galley with full cooker, fridge and 8 berths makes for a good family cruiser whilst the full sized forward facing Nav station is a bonus for the traditional sailor. An impressive yacht.
