Broker's Comments
Van de Stadt have a great reputation for designing strong, seaworthy yachts with great lines and this example, British built in Cornwall, is no exception. Sturdy, long keeled and well equipped for high seas this vessel looks and feels safe the moment you step onboard.
The beautiful teak decks are very impressive. Completely stripped back, improved and re-laid, this thick quality teak gives the yacht a warm and traditional feel. The open and uncluttered foredeck is a real treat, I'd say much prettier and more practical than on many modern yachts.
There’s plenty of shelter in the snug centre cockpit and she has a good navigation suite fitted including a modern autopilot and colour chart plotter.
Down below the accommodation is also finished to a high standard. The private but quite spacious aft cabin has it’s own heads and shower compartment, two single berths and a writing desk. The roomy fwd cabin & saloon have a further heads compartment, a well equipped galley, 3 further berths, a large Nav station and good standing room.
There are a few localised spots of corrosion on the toe rail, the gas locker hatch lid needs a bit of tlc and I believe she needs some maintenance to the stern seal.
All in all though, a comfortable, very capable and pretty blue water yacht.
