Broker's Comments
Vindo yachts were built in Notesunds Yard, Sweden by a family with an extensive history of producing fine quality boats. 650 of the Vindo 40 (the 40 relates to sail area rather than length) were built between 1970 and 1982, according to our records.
A quotation from the Swedish magazine Båtnytt: "Vindo 40 is one of those solid boats from Orust which seem to last forever. It is due to the unusual high quality from the start."
She has the advantages of a heavily laid GRP hull alongside the beauty of mahogany and teak, the former of which has just had 14 coats of varnish!
She appears to have been exceptionally well looked after and a general all round feeling of being loved!
The interior is a quality wood lover's delight and everything exudes real quality craftsman workmanship.
Of particular note;
- All bilges have been cleaned and painted white.
- The boat has been insulated to retain warmth.
- The boat benefits from all new plumbing in the galley and head.
- The boat has also been completely rewired.
- New Upholstery has also been fitted.
- An inverter is included in the sale.
- There are 4 fire extinguishers
- 3 x Smoke detectors
- The boat also has an inverter.
- A beautifully maintained teak cockpit.
- A seacocks have been serviced.
Finally she comes with jackstays, harnesses and a bosuns chair.
She would be ideally suited for single or short handed sailing.
A survey was prepared in 2020, a copy is available on request for interested parties.
