Broker's Comments
The Westerly Berwick is exactly what one would expect from a yacht built by Westerly in the 70's. Structurally, she's tough, solid and well-balanced, giving a sense of safety.
The cockpit it large, allowing plenty of helm's space, while accommodating guests. The inside is spacious and airy giving the interior a lighter feel than many boats of this era. Saloon seating to port, converts to form a large double berth, there is a standard vee berth fore and a quarter berth aft.
The boat has been well looked after and presents as such. the interior is clean, headlining's in excellent condition, as is the woodwork.
Externally the boat would benefit from a little cosmetic work, for example the non-skid could do with a touch-up, generally though there is little required, and the boat is ready to use as is.
The sails appear in good working order. The engine started and ran from cold and sounds excellent. General maintenance has been kept on top of, with replacement seacocks, new water pump and upgraded navigational aids.
A sturdy, capable cruiser ready to set sail.
