Broker's Comments
Strongly built to Lloyds specifications, the Centaur is not only the most popular Westerly yacht, it is in fact the most popular British yacht ever built. 2444 of this Laurent Giles design were manufactured in a 12 year period to cater for the huge demand and they are still very popular today. They offer a safe, strong, easy to sail family cruiser and are good value for money.
For a 26ft bilge keeler, they sail well and they also give a feeling of safety with a deep roomy cockpit and wide side decks. This example has side gates in the safety rails for ease of embarking and a new, full cockpit enclosure.
Below there is 6ft of headroom and they are surprisingly roomy, there are actually berths for 4/5. The floors, headlining's and upholstery in this example all appear to be in good condition, there is a new cooker and the boat is clean & dry.
To cap it all off, she also comes with a well maintained and economical 20 HP Beta Engine.
As a small family or couples cruiser, these boats are the business.
