Broker's Comments
My first thoughts when stepping on board this 1990 Westerly Ocean Ranger 38 were how lovely it was! Extremely well-presented, comfortable and appeared clean and tidy. The current owners have owned her since 1993 and a change in circumstances forces the sale of this yacht. They have enjoyed many happy hours of sailing in and around the Solent and she has taken them to The Channel Islands and France on numerous occasions.
Westerly Ocean Rangers were built between 1989 and 1999 and are renowned for their build quality. They are designed as a serious long distance cruiser, however their size means they aren't too big to handle in the harbour either.
This Westerly is ideal for short-handed sailing with Halyards & lines controlled from the cockpit and boasts a full range of Raymarine instruments, E80 Plotter, Radar, AIS, ST7000 Autohelm, ST600R remote control, VHF, Navtex as well as a Bow thruster which was fitted in 2014. The wheel has a quick release function which provides more space in the cockpit to relax in once you have reached your destination.
A good all rounder that will suit many types of sailor whether they want to be on their own or with family and friends!
