Broker's Comments
IF THE BOAT HAS NOT SOLD BY MARCH/APRIL HE IS GOING TO DONATE THE BOAT TO A SAILING CHARITY SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PIECE OF SAILING HISTORY AT A BARGAIN PRICE LOOK NO FURTHER !!
This is a beautiful and extremely well maintained example of a William King and Sons 1926 Vintage Bermudian Sloop that has recently been refitted.
£2000 has been spent last spring on servicing the engine and fuel system. A new engine inlet water strainer has been fitted with a new sea-cock, also the stern gland.
This is a rare opportunity to own a very much admired 1926 classic wooden yacht Recently refurbished professionally and in fine condition, this is your chance to enjoy all the advantages of sailing a beautiful example of a traditionally constructed auxiliary bermudan sloop. Originally built in 1926 by William King and Sons, Burnham on Crouch, she is a treasured classic that has been with the current owner since 1977.
1. Finished to a high standard, she is being well maintained and major restoration works have just been professionally completed. Recent expenditure has exceeded £30,000 after a full professional survey obtaining a valuation of £36,000. Any work to bring her to top condition were addressed and improvements carried out. Finishing off with all the necessary re-painting & re-varnishing works. The current owner wishes to ensure this fine vessel cruises for many more years and therefore instigated the refurbishment works prior to sale.
A relatively full hull form and broad transom, she gives the impression of a much larger yacht, she would therefore make a most attractive family cruising yacht. Recent survey report available.
She has just been re-launched 31st May 2019 after a winter ashore and she has just returned from a short shake down cruise before returning to the marina to await a new owner.
