Broker's Comments
X Yachts began building performance race yachts in 1979. Their high quality production methods were adapted throughout the early 1980's and a line of racer/cruisers followed, the X-95 being the third of that generation designed to race in the popular Half Ton class. An X-95 won the world championship for production half tonners in 1983 in Hankö, Norway, 153 were built and they've been winning ever since!
This particular X-95 has been in the same ownership for 16 years, raced inshore mainly locally and brought ashore annually for maintenance. She's well set up and rigged to race, has an extensive sail wardrobe, RORC measured and has an endorsed 2022 IRC certificate. It wouldn't be difficult to put her into (fast) cruising livery either though, she has a head, basin and coolbox and the space for a gimballed stove, cushions on the berths and feels clean and dry below.
She's presently ashore (August 2023) so inspections are welcomed. A hull survey report is available on request
