Broker's Comments
Boarding this very clean and well maintained CD28 hull #43 has a large deep cockpit that seats four comfortably. It has a well appointed main cabin and galley also good sized v-berth cabin forward providing ample accommodation for a couple either as a weekend live aboard getaway or day sailer. Even in higher wind & sea conditions the CD28 handles beautifully under all points of sail with it's self tending club footed head sail makes for easy tacking coming thru the wind.
Cape Dory built 388 CD28's Between 1974 and 1987 at their yard in East Taunton, Massachusetts to Carl Alberg traditional Classic design. He also incorporated some of the traditional lines of the Scandinavian Folk boats from his home land of Sweden into the CD28.
A testament to their seaworthiness, at least one Cape Dory 28 has circumnavigated, in 2009 one in particular completed a three year voyage single handed by it's owner.
