Broker's Comments
Founded in the late 1960's legendary Ted Irwin began designing & later built racing yachts in the St. Petersburg, Florida area.
During that time other famous yachtsman to include Charlie Morgan, Ted Hood, Ted Turner followed suit and have all gone on & become accomplished yacht designers & sailors alike.
As one of the more popular models designed & built by Irwin the Citation 34 masthead sloop with classic looks & graceful lines is not one to disappoint.
There were 300 Citation's 34's built between 1979-1985 with a PHRF rating of 165. this made the boat equally suited as a day sailer or performance cruiser. Due to it's popular layout the Irwin Citation 34 also went on as a popular charter boat in SE Florida & the Caribbean in the early seventies. Irwin Yachts are still as sort after today as they were four decades ago.
With it's generous beam & an air conditioned cabin below the accommodations on the Citation 34 makes for a comfortable retreat after a day on the water.
The current owners have enjoyed this Citation 34 since 2013 and have primarily day sailed the boat on the inland bays and waterway's of S. Texas Gulf coast. Due to work commitments the owners are moving away from the area, this forces the sale of this well appointed mid sized cruiser.
