Broker's Comments

A fine example of a Custom Sport Fisher ready to catch the next Big One !
Starting in 1949 James R. McQueen and Harper Hull purchased the Cottrell-Spoore Boatworks of Troy New York. The company was named "The Trojan Boat Company" and moved the business to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 1966 Trojan acquired the Shepherd Boat Company in Canada, manufacturer of up to 50ft wooden motor yachts.
By 1968 Trojan had become one of the largest producers of inboard motor boats globally, employing over 700 people.
Moving later to fiberglass hulls the company then become affiliated with Whittaker Marine Group, which included Bertram Yacht, Trojan Yachts, Riva, Desco Marine, Balboa Marine, and Coronado Yachts. By the early 70's total sales of the Whittaker Marine Group exceeded $250 million.
The Trojan Yacht Company ended production in 1992. Carver Yachts under Genmar Holdings, purchased the Trojan Boat brand name and assets.
This well appointed 12M Convertible Sport Fish has been on the Texas Gulf coast for the past 15 years & has had two previous owners. The current owner has allocated considerable resources in upgrading & installing custom features & equipment onboard. Although he has encountered lots of fond memories on the boat states that it's now time to find her a new home & allow someone else to enjoy all her refinements.
